Ohhh Brother
Just got back from an amazing week visiting my beautiful girlfriend in Wilmington, NC. If you have never been to this city, than I highly recommend it. It has everything for everyone! The kite scene there is also very interesting. I was even able to find a couple diehard kiters while flying a trainer with Eve (Wind chill was in the low 20′s). Downtown Wilmington is also an interesting/exciting place! It has a very very large selection of local restaurants with streets lined in old-Timey cobble stones for a scenic historic fell. As you head further west you end up on the river walk which stretches about a mile, and makes a great place to check out the sunset. As well as having the riverwalk you will also find some of the nicer restaurants adjacent to the river for those scenic dinner views! Let me also say this city is very alive with a thriving music and arts scene. Unfortunately I was not to experience as much of this as I wished, but as Arnold would say, “I’ll be back.” Not to mention some insane skate spots haha!
Sooo the serious note: I have avoided an injury for a month or two now. I have now found that this is not the most sensible way to treat injuries, which is why I ended up in the ER on Friday. I do not want to post to many details on this yet, since it hasn’t been completely diagnosed. However, it is looking like I’m not going to be unable to kite for about two months now. This could destroy the Florida plans, but I am very focused and am looking forward to 2010 no matter what!
Happy New Year Everyone!
